If At The Drive-in had met The Clash in a movie theatre in Seattle back in ‘96 and moved to Sweden and started a indierock band in the swedish hardcore capital Umeå they might have formed Västerbron. But that didn’t happen. Instead Västerbron was founded 17 years later in Stockholm by a bunch of full-time-office-rats who tried to write 1-2-3-4 punk in a vain attempt to be a part of the Stockholm underground punk scene. Instead they wrote noisey, emotional indierock in swedish and got the record labels interrested.
The band released their debut album on September 3rd 2014 - Idiotologi. Recorded live in Studio Motion, Malmö with producer Tommy Tift (Vånna Inget) the album received favourable reviews from PSL.se, NRK P3, Sydsvenskan, and GAFFA. The band was also nominated for ”Best Breaking Act” and ”Best Rock” in 2015’s Swedish GAFFA awards.
- four guys that could have been seeds planted at Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris, drawing strength from the graves of Jim Morrison, Chopin and Gertrud Stein.
Instead the plants grew in Ingmar Bergman's land of held back silence - bonded by a mutual musical love and existential brooding.
The bands first track "Blood, Sugar" - not least apparent by the video (directed by Johan Stolpe) - is unmistakably Scandinavian with Fever Ray-ish aesthetics. It's produced by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor). The song was early recognized and loved by e.g. NME,The Line of Best Fit and The Needle Drop: NEW TRACK: MANKIND - "Blood, Sugar"
This band is the musical, northwest passage between classic rock and the unholy spirit of Pink Floyd.
It’s like finding an interstellar sound portal to a hidden space desert, that only can be seen and heard through a kaleidoscope, which is blessed by a spiritual shaman from Saturn.
The band’s latest album “Spirit Knife” is perhaps the ultimate record for inner and outer road tripping beyond all boundaries. But have no fear of getting lost, the soundscape and the groove serves as your existential guide and compass, through the purple mist of the desert.
“There’s a lot of retro rock kicking around at the moment, but “Spirit Knife” wipes the floor with the lot.”
-Amit Sharma, Metal Hammer UK

The Danish trio IBRAHIM ELECTRIC never disappoints.
Their quirky – provocative – extroverted - original music sticks its fingers into just about every musical cookie jar... and sends cascades of pearls from the speakers.
IBRAHIM ELECTRIC’s style is not for the pedantic. There are elements of old fashioned soul/jazz – AFRObeat - 60’s acid-power-beat - and of course the trio’s trademark: the fast, almost-punk passages in which the three musicians merge into one playful organism. Each of the band-members possess an extremely high level of musical ENERGY, and they have a mutual love for the pure energy in the music... This has made this unit extraordinary!
Whether Niclas is playing a guitar solo in the spirit of Ali Farka Toure...Jeppe is playing a solo that leads your mind to the Hammond-icons of the 1960’s...or Stefan is playing a drum-solo with avantgarde elements, the one thing that overshines it all, is their love for playing and performing, and the sheer intensity of their expression!
This trio is a fantastic live experience ! - an experience which has been delivered in following countries so far:
USA – Canada – Morocco – Brazil – Denmark – England – Ireland – Scotland – Poland – Sweden – Norway – Finland –
France – Germany – Lithuania – Latvia – Estonia – Netherlands – Belgium – Serbia – Greece – China – Korea – Thailand !
