For our Offshore Project Transport department, we are looking for a capable Student Worker. The Project Management Transport team belongs to the Siemens Gamesa Sales & Projects organization and works as an internal supplier of end-to-end logistics solutions for our large-scale wind turbine projects world-wide. The team executes on all SGRE contracts for road transport, shipping, and airfreight within Division Offshore.
Your role will be directly linked to a highly operational team of dedicated logistics specialists, working in dynamic environment where “no day is the same”.
The role is global, and you will have a broad interface to both external and internal stakeholders.
What are my responsibilities?
Your tasks will consist of ad-hoc as well as reoccurring tasks related to defining, planning, and executing of logistics services to offshore wind farms. This could include:
- Booking of shipments to suppliers (road, air, sea)
- Schedule alignment with all stakeholders involved
- Cost settlements of individual shipments
- Creation and subsequent filing of required shipping documentation
- Contribution to established KPI reporting measures
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for a student who is studying either at the bachelor or master’s level, in an area that is relevant to logistics.
You also have a:
- Business-driven mind-set boosted by a common-sense approach to your tasks.
- Basic knowledge and interest in operational logistics
- Strong communication skills, including excellent English skills, both orally and in writing.
- Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented mind-set.
You will be seated in our Vejle office, and we expect you to work 15-25 hours per week, spread on 2-4 working days.
