11 nov Terma: Master’s thesis – next generation self-protection for military
What we do
Terma is a global company with a wide range of high tech capabilities and products. We deliver advanced technologies to keep people safe – on land, at sea, in the air and in space. For more information on our business areas, please visit www.terma.com.
We specialize in integrating preferred and best-in-class self-protection subsystems into a single, user-friendly system. Through the Terma management system, the pilot may be warned of radar systems, incoming missiles and hostile fire. These threats can be countered by RF jamming and dispense of chaff and flare expendables through Terma’s own Advanced Countermeasure Dispenser System (ACMDS).
This Master’s Thesis will support the early steps towards the development of a new innovative solution that has potential to make a game-changing shift in the marked for countermeasure dispenser systems. The thesis will be a continuation of completed Terma internal innovation project.
The domain of countermeasure dispenser systems is a Terma core competence and as such you will be working with the best experts in the field.
This Master’s Thesis is suitable for one or two students with interest in electromechanical system design. Experience with advanced electric motor control systems is highly merited. You have a good understanding on how to define/elicit requirements and define/document system architecture.
What you will be a part of
This Master’s Thesis will be supported by the department of self-protection systems in Terma. You will have a direct person of contact within the organization and will be granted access to the information, people and test equipment required to support the project.
