Advansor: Technical Designer for Production Company – Entry level

Advansor: Technical Designer for Production Company – Entry level

Advansor is looking for a Technical Designer to become a part of an international team driven by finding the best customer solutions

Your role

As our new colleague, you will become part of our Mechanical Design Team, where you will design the world’s best sustainable CO2 refrigeration and heating systems. Our product range is based around 7 main products and several modules, you will be part of creating the final products, a process that can vary from few hours to several days, depending on the product type.

Your work will be oriented around existing products and is created from a strong mechanical 3D foundation, where master assemblies are configured and modified to create the final product that meets the requirements set of our customers.
You will be a direct reference to our Team Lead Mechanical, and be based at our factory in Brabrand, Aarhus, where you at the same will get to collaborate closely with members across the organization in ensuring the high quality of our products.

Main tasks

  • Configure project-specific products in SolidWorks based on a P&ID and existing 3D master
  • Quality control of own and colleagues’ designs
  • Export production documentation

In SolidWorks, you’ll mainly be using simple mate functions in assemblies, picking correct sub-components through defined item numbers and configurations, and in some cases adjusting dimensions in 3D models for bended pipes and frames. 3D design is crosschecked with the Piping and Instrumentation diagram (P&ID), component list and order specifications, ensuring that the design matches the sold product.

By following procedures and design rules, we ensure uniformity and the high level of quality needed for our paperless production to assemble the rack entirely from a 3D model. Once you have gained sufficient knowledge about our products, you may advance to product specialist. The product specialists maintain our 3D masters.

Your background

You are preferably a newly graduated technical designer or have a few years of experience from a similar position. You have a good technical understanding and some experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software, and preferably knowledge of P&ID. You might also have a different technical background, e.g., blacksmith, machine worker, PTA technician or similar, looking for a more administrative role

To succeed in the role, you need to be good at handling several projects at once, without losing focus of quality, working thoroughly and structured, and being able to meet deadlines. You have a keen eye for quality and thrives in a position where quality control (both by yourself and by colleagues in the team and other departments) takes up a big part of your day.

As our corporate language is English, it is necessary that you are able communicate both verbally and in writing in English. The Mechanical Design Team consists of 10 designers from 7 different nationalities.

We offer

As part of Team Advansor, you will get to work with more than 280 competent colleagues of more than 20 different nationalities and join us in our mission: to design and produce the world’s best sustainable climate solutions. You will become part of a highly ambitious company that values a good working environment, diversity, and teamwork. We offer flexible working hours, access to our gym, and probably the best canteen you have ever tried. Salary is decided based on your qualifications.

Sustainable CO2 climate solutions

As a market-leading manufacturer, we have designed and produced more than 10,000 CO2 systems for sustainable commercial and industrial cooling and heating around the world since 2006.

Many people associate CO2 with global warming. We’re cool with that. Literally. Because CO2 is the most climate-friendly refrigerant: it’s non-toxic, doesn’t affect the ozone layer, and does not contribute to global warming. That’s why we are ’cool with CO2’
