Are you a student passionate about development, including analysis and programming? Join our development team working across logistics and retail, where you’ll gain hands-on experience. You’ll tackle assignments using Excel and VBA programming to generate data-driven insights and optimise processes. Be part of an energetic team with great colleagues in an informal, collaborative work environment.
Whiteaway Group started with a simple idea, a commitment to our customers, and with a passion for digital innovation. Today, we’re a successful retailer, selling and delivering household appliances across Scandinavia. We’re change-makers at heart – it’s the very core of everything we do.
As our new Business Development Student Assistant, you’ll join the Business Development team in the department of Retail, Logistics, and Operations with four passionate and friendly colleagues. Our dedicated cross-functional team collaborates with a variety of stakeholders to continuously improve and optimise key areas of our business while also driving strategic and tactical projects. We encourage creativity and innovation, providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Perform data analysis using primarily Excel to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Define, optimise and automise current processes across Retail and Logistics using Excel, VBA programming, Power BI, or similar.
- Provide support for prioritised strategic and tactical projects.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the organisation.
- We’ll make sure that you’ll learn plenty and gain relevant experience while having fun.
What we’re looking for:
- Open-minded, collaborative, and eager to grow in an enthusiastic team environment.
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree such as Operations and Supply Chain Analytics or a similar field.
- Structured, analytical, and have an eye for details.
- Motivated to develop your analytical and programming abilities. Prior experience is not required, but a proactive mindset and a genuine passion for learning are key.
- Able to see how tasks fit into the bigger picture and think ahead when solving problems.
We like to think we have quite an amazing workplace, including:
- A dynamic and international environment with room for you to be you.
- Endless opportunities for your own professional development and for you to make an impact.
- A flat, informal organisation with a high degree of independence and short decision-making processes.
- Attractive settings including flexible work hours, health care, lunch arrangements, Friday breakfast, gym, and great social events – to mention some.
