25 Jan Arla: Project Manager Intern – Aarhus
The Managing Assortment Complexity Team (MAC) is part of the Europe Zone Finance department which sits at our global headquarters in Viby – Aarhus. The MAC team performs category reviews with the aim of identifying opportunities for the creation of a larger and more profitable cross-market product portfolio, with improved speed to market to better serve our customers and consumers. On top of that, the team also works on developing skills and tools within the organization to embed the category review’s mentality in everyday work of the commercial and supply chain organizations.
About the Internship
As an Intern in the MAC team you will be part of both elements of the team’s agenda. On one hand you will support the team in category reviews, which includes:
- Data analysis
- Initiative ownership and maturation across commercial and supply chain stakeholders
- Preparation of materials for Steering Committee meetings
You will also take an active part in building the future of MAC by changing the way the business looks at its portfolio. Concrete topics can be adapted to your profile and interests, but are likely to include:
- Identifying the right perspectives to challenge and measure the complexity of the portfolio
- Developing a method to help the Supervisory Board identify areas for future deep dive reviews
- Rolling out new tools across the organization
Throughout both elements of the Internship you will be an integral part of the four person MAC team and will have the opportunity to work with and manage a vast variety of stakeholders.
Who are you?
We are looking for a colleague with an open mind who is able to think critically and combine multiple angles of a problem into one solution. Analytical thinking and working with numbers should be among your strengths. You will also be dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders, therefore an outgoing personality and strong communication skills are needed to succeed in this role.
We expect you are very strong in basic Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and eager to develop your skills further. Any further technical knowledge such as PowerBI or SAP are a welcome advantage, but not required.
You will be working in an international team, therefore proficiency in English both spoken and written is a must. Any other European language will come as an advantage when working with local markets and production sites.
What do we offer?
Being an Intern in the MAC team, you will build on your strong analytical capabilities and develop your stakeholder management and change leadership skills. You will learn how to evaluate multiple perspectives to one problem and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
Application and contact
We look forward to receiving your application. Please apply no later than 28 February 2021.

We are busy producing dairy products so we can continue #fillingtheshelves and #feedingthenation. Recruiting talent to Arla thus stays one of our top priorities also during these difficult times. Necessity is the mother of invention, so we have moved to virtual hiring and onboarding processes so we enable candidates and our recruitment teams to get close while respecting social distancing.
