12 Feb Danish Crown: Strategic Procurement Intern
Would you like to test your skills within procurement functions such as packaging or food and casing? Then you might be one of the two new interns we are looking for!
For our office in Randers we are looking for two driven and curious interns, to become part of either the packaging team or the food casings procurement team.
The procurement organization is responsible for entering into agreements with suppliers for the entire group. You’ll become an active player in a strategically rooted group function that has both commercial goals and a goal of building a “best in class” purchasing organization. You will be affiliated with the food or packaging category, each consisting of six people, which negotiates all food or packaging agreements.
Get to know the entire strategic procurement process
During your internship, you will be assigned to one or two major projects that you, in collaboration with a Category Manager, will work on. It is important to us that you master our entire procurement process after your internship; therefore, you’ll solve your tasks by going through all the processes and workflows in strategic procurement that we – and many other large companies – work with on a daily basis.
In practice, your daily function will be as support and you will be assigned a mentor, who on both a professional and personal level, will help you and make sure that you develop the necessary skills during your internship.
Systematic, thoughtful – and a passion for numbers
We look for exceptional student from colleges and universities all around Denmark with a variety of academic backgrounds – i.e. supply chain management, logistics, etc. – who can add some flavor into our company.
The most important thing is that:
- You have a passion for numbers and an analytical mindset
- You are curious and are not afraid to challenge the status quo
- You work systematically and have a strong focus on ensuring accuracy in the tasks you solve.
It is a must that you master English at a negotiating level – if you additionally speak Polish and/or German it will an added advantage, but it is not a requirement.
Relevant experience from e.g. student jobs or volunteering will be an advantage, but what we value the most is that you have a great willingness to learn
